Canadian firearms regulations are not too onerous now that the federal government got rid of the long guns registry. Official murder stats from the government clearly show that firearm murders are not very high and indeed have been surpassed by knife murders. I note that while there are many who advocate for the return of the long gun registry, there is no one who clamours for a knife registry.
