I have read your story several times, researched independently and conclude: no, it’s not a fraud.
Yes, the simplistic notion of the effect is far more complex than we may have understood. But the idea that this is a conspiracy brought on by the pseudo-science of medicine is not borne out by the evidence.
I have no doubt that you believe what you have written. Thus, it is unlikely that my remonstrations will cause you to rethink your position. But I do hope other readers will see this and the many other comments having links to more complete and balanced presentations of the topic and use it as a chance to consider how important critical thinking skills are in this day of citizen journalism.
If you do further research and can further bolster your position, as well as explain how it either undercuts, or perhaps is consistent with other seemingly contradictory ones, that would be a great outcome.
