Trump Administration Preparing for First Natural Disaster

A headline in today’s New York Times asserted that the Trump administration had to deal with its first natural disaster as hurricane Harvey descend on Texas and Louisiana.

This alarmism seemed quite odd to me. This is an administration more experienced in dealing with disaster than any in history. To be sure, while the administration has had ample experience, this is indeed the first disaster that is not self-inflicted.

The core question in all of our minds is how it will affect the President. I am sure the millions of people in the storm’s path are praying. We are all Americans today, and all are hoping and praying together that Mr. Trump will come through this ordeal.

Climate scientists reportedly will not use the latest techniques allowing them to ascribe causality for specific events to climate change. Even scientists have difficulty avoiding the obvious conclusion that this hurricane is retribution by God on Trump. “Take that, Pruitt”, said God, in a written statement. Mr. Trump’s latest tweet indicated that he thought God was being unfair.
