29/11/15 Port Fairy Adventures

Okay, so this morning I woke up super hammered, before my sisters birthday I had about 5 hours sleep and was a little bit tired, but didn’t let that interfere with the day. Then I travelled about 3 hours in a bus to get home, I didn’t sleep and instead read Jane Eyre. So when I got home I was pretty tired, but I really wanted to get rid of the drinks in my fridge as I have been contemplating going off alcohol for a while. So I got a few friends around to help me finish the drinks and well yeah, they didn’t leave till about 1:00am and my eyes were probably hanging out of my head.

So when I woke up at 7:30 this morning, I was dying, for some reason my body decided it was in my best interest to wake up 3–5 times during the night and I got phone calls at around 1:30am which I can confirm, is the most painful thing that can happen at that time of morning. Now when I say dying, I don’t mean my liver turned black and I was hungover, I meant my eyes couldn’t keep open. The beauty of it all though, is that I promised my girlfriend I would take the bus and see her. The bus was at 9, I couldn’t physically unchain myself from my mistress of a bed, so I fell back asleep to awake around 9:15 to catch the 10am bus.

I have been with my girlfriend for two years now, she’s awesome, she’s quirky, really good to talk to (because she never shuts up) and is without a doubt always there for me. The only thing is though, she lives 30 minutes out of town. So it’s a lot of driving over the 2 times I see her a week and no matter how tired either of us are, we never really want to miss the opportunity of seeing the other, so we take what we can get.

The day was really fun actually, besides just constantly wanting to lie down all the time. After arriving at her house we just hanged around for a while, she had a shower and got ready then we headed into town, nothing really exciting happened. We first went to a Strawberry Fete, where we got tubs of strawberries and overloaded them with sugar, then out for lunch. Lunch was surprisingly good, Emily got a Chicken wrap and I got an Open Steak Sandwich, we both enjoyed our meals and will probably return to the restaurant at a later date. After that I was nagging to just lay down on something, so we go on a romantic tour around about one fifth of an island and take refuge on a flat looking rock. Rocks may seem comfortable to lay on, I mean in the sun they looked gelatinous, warm all the good adjectives associated with comfort, but they always let you down… with a sharp jagged slap. After that we got picked up and I pretty much fell asleep at her house until I took the bus at 5, since then my Sunday night has been pretty uneventful.

I always hype myself up to try and be more productive, like on the bus ride home I was trying to psych myself up to start writing in a book, read some more of Jane Eyre, practice piano — Just to do something semi productive. The sad thing is though, I never follow through with it, I either just watch Youtube video’s or scroll on Facebook. This was pretty much my entire night, just add tea.
