If you don’t believe that a confirmation by 60 Senator’s is a minimum for a life time appointment to the US Supreme Court, then there’s nothing I can say to change your opinion. The filibuster serves a purpose, no matter how annoying to the majority and the example of Storm Thurmond and the Civil Rights Act proves the point. In the end after the debate was had, the legislation was enacted.
