You and I
The elements of you and I.
Like seed and rich soil, love is sprinkled on us from the water of life’s wellspring. We produce and reproduce together.
You and I are like the sun and moon, the sun shines and provides the light the moon has been looking for.
The moon can shine too now. The moon shines when the sun can’t. When we align, the world can’t help but stare.
We eclipse the meaning of what together means.
You and I are like the clouds of the sky and water of the sea. We are different from each other, but so attracted to each other.
Chemistry.
Water rushes out every now and then, but she always comes back. The clouds always have a door open for water.
Only for water.
You and I can make this world stop. We can change the world. We have the elements.
I want to have the right seed for your soil. I love the taste of your water. I hope my moonlight is not too dim for you. I hope your sunrays won’t scorch me.
I know I tend to pour you out and get gray. The good day ruined. I feel like the rain is for a good thing sometimes
As long as it’s not too much…
I’ve caused a flood before, I know.
Lightning strikes. Destruction looms. But the day always gets better.
But even if the sun and moon stop rising in the sky.
The water of the sea ends its routine of going back and forth.
And the seeds of the Earth never grow in the soil again.
I will hope for there to always be You and I.
This short poem is for a woman who I want to marry me some day.
We have our differences and our issues we need to sort out, and are currently giving each other some breathing room.
I’m working on being the best version of myself. For you. For me. For what we have the potential of being as a couple.
I want to say I love you. I always will. No matter what. Even until my last day.
