Written by Isaac Tominsky. 12-year old grandson of Janice Stille who passed away on December 31, 2015. Read at her funeral.

Dear Grandma,

It’s me, Isaac. I wanted to tell you that I love you. It’s too bad you couldn’t be here by my side today, but I know you’re still in my heart, and I’ll never forget you. There are so many memories stuck in my head that I’ll remember forever. I remember the vacation down to Florida, where we might have discovered the greatest donut shop known to mankind. And how we went to Disney World, with many great touristy picture-perfect opportunities. And don’t let me forget about Christmastime, where we had a tradition of bringing the family together to have a great time. Also, the great food at Thanksgiving was something everybody looked forward to.

You don’t have to worry about Grandpa; we’ll all work together and take care of him. Don’t worry about your friends and family; they’re all here today comforting each other and talking about you. Although I am, and I’m positive everyone else is, very sad, you don’t have to worry about us. It’ll be a better life in heaven. Up in heaven, you’ll be reunited with your sister, mom, and dad. That’ll be fun. Up in heaven, you won’t have to suffer any pain any more. Up in heaven, you’ll be with us all the time, without having to be by our sides. I’ve heard nothing but good things about heaven, I’m sure you’ll love it.

With Love, your grandson, Isaac Tominsky
