And where has America gone in the past year and a half (it may seem like two to a Democrat given their unhinged state since Trump was elected)? It’s got the highest economic growth rate since before the Obama reign of terror. It’s got the lowest unemployment rate among minorities in decades. Unregulated immigration is being addressed and the virtual wage slavery of illegal immigrants by unscrupulous companies and farmers, dairies and growers that is supported by illegal immigration. Terrorism is being aggressively attacked. ISIS is decimated. Confiscatory taxation through the healthcare system is being ended. The IRS, EPA and other federal agencies are being de-weaponized as a tool to punish conservatives and small and medium sized businesses that don’t lockstep with the progressive agenda. My business is better. I’m escaping being stuck below the poverty line, so personally my life is very much better.
It seems to me that people like Umair are the ones becoming angry, greedy and violent. The article above is long on accusation and short on anything actionable under the 25th amendment. There is no Constitutional prohibition against disagreeing with the mainstream media. Most of us, even people like me, who didn’t vote for Trump, have actually gotten a kick out of his efforts to shine a spotlight on corrupt liberal media and their manipulation of facts and sometimes outright lying to forward a leftist agenda.
Foreign policy? His pick for UN ambassador was inspired. She took us off the terrorist-filled UN Human Rights Council and stopped giving legitimacy to an organization, the majority of whose members are the world’s primary human rights violators. He’s called out NATO members who haven’t been paying for their own security, relying instead on the US to protect them without contributing anything to the effort. Many have ponied up support rather than risk their backup by the greatest military power on Earth.
I’ve loved his judicial appointments. Now we have more and more jurists who judge by the law rather than trying to legislate from the bench. Good for Trump. He’s put some great people in cabinet posts. He’s given encouragement to ethical law enforcement officials who have watched with dismay as the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security and ICE become enforcement arms of the Democrat party over the past 8 years. Trump is moving these agencies back to their original mission which is to enforce actual law and not to interpret it in favor of Deep State priorities.
We’ve got liberal ANTIFA thugs who violently attack anyone who dares to disagree with them. We’ve got leftist politicians greedy for power who are downright unhinged in their caterwauling for Trump’s blood. We’ve got platoons of angry journalists who can hardly write a coherent news article because they are so angry.
I didn’t vote for Trump. I don’t particularly like his style, but it seems we needed a Bull to wreck the DC China shop. It’s been messy, but effective. AND THE MAN HAS DONE THINGS HE PROMISED TO DO IN SPITE OF THE WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH BY THE PARTY OUT OF POWER AND THEIR WILLING ACCOMPLICES IN THE MEDIA.
The unhinged rhetoric of articles like this tell me that the president is doing something worthwhile. Entrenched progressives feel threatened. In the great debate between those of us who wish to preserve our constitutional republic and those who wish to transform our nation into a progressive socialist utopia, at least for the moment, the progressives are losing. You can tell by the hysteria, hyperbole and general foaming at the mouth by the left that the war is going badly for them.
Probably gonna vote for Trump in 2020. He’s doing what I want him to do in Washington. And as for the tweeting, I don’t have a problem with it. I kind of like hearing from the president without it going through the filter of journalists who, as Mark Twain described them, are “a horde of ignorant, self-complacent simpletons who failed at ditching and shoemaking and fetched up in journalism on their way to the poorhouse.”
