I just discovered Medium thanks to Gary V. My first article here isn’t about real estate (what I “do”) — it’s about pizza, Long Island pizza specifically.
I don’t care where you eat pizza, other than New York City, you won’t find better consistent pizza places anywhere in America. Not that I’ve been to every state and eaten pizza everywhere, but I’m just saying — Long Island Pizza is just awesome.
That said, I just ate a slice at “Primo Pizza” in Farmingville, New York. Hot, cheesy and delicious! Anyway, how often do you look at the name of the pizza place?
I can’t tell you how many times, I’ve eaten at a pizza place and not payed any attention to the name of the place, especially if I’m on-the-go. I’ve been to this place several times, as my office is right across the street but I never looked at the name until today.
I mean, I see “Pizza” and I go in.
Now “Il Primo Pizza” was my concept for a name for my pizza place, if I were to ever open one up and I had this crazy idea to import everything from Italy, even the water to make the sauce, the dough…everything.
I probably would have continued to go to Primo for a long time to come before noticing the name. But on the advice from Gary V., to write a 2 minute post on Medium about something unrelated to what I normally write about, I actually took a moment to note the name of a really good pizza place and it just happened to have the name I would give my own pizza joint.
