Okay I noted in my highlight an English-dutch-english error. I meant it in a joking way and moved on to say: Your response regarding the screwdriver drives home the point that I make that this iteration of the Doctor is skewed far too much to dark, adult sensibilities. It is well-reasoned and written and I still don’t like the entire orbit that the series entered. And as a kid and an adult I love screwdrivers and small flashlights. I don’t even wear sunglasses anymore. Kids love screwdrivers. Matt Smith as the Doctor captured the silliness and imaginative power a screwdriver holds for the child-mind inside us all. Now if you will excuse me, I have to take my pill prescribed for “chatter excess syndrome.”
