LAURA, I APOLOGIZE IF I HAVE PLACED TOO HEAVY A BURDEN OF EXPECTATION OR EXHORTATION TO ACTION UPON YOU. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN A PERSON OF YOUR EXQUISITE GIFTS PUTS FORTH YOUR EXPRESSION, THEN IT MAY WELL HAVE A DEEP EMOTIONAL IMPACT ON CERTAIN PERSONS PREDISPOSED TO THINKING WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN AND WHAT NEVER WAS. IN THE SUMMER HEAT OF THIS YEAR OF 2015 I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT OF A FINE YOUNG MAN WHO WAS TAKEN TOO SOON FROM THIS VEIL OF TEARS. A MAN I ADMIRED AND WHO GAVE HIS LIFE SO THAT I AND OTHERS MIGHT LIVE. HE WAS FIERCE AND SKILLED AND KIND AND HE IS GONE . HE WILL NEVER SEE THE SUN SET AGAIN AND HE WILL NEVER GET TO READ SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND TRULY GIFTED WRITER. I WISH YOU COULD HAVE MET THE MAN I LOVINGLY AND RESPECTFULLY CALLED ALEXEI. HE WAS A FINE MAN AND A GREAT GIFT TO MY LIFE AND TO THE MARINE CORPS WE BOTH SERVED WITH PRIDE AND HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE. WE ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD, WE ALWAYS STOOD AS TALL AS POSSIBLE. HE GAVE ME SO MUCH WITH HIS UNIQUE GIFTS. I ADMIRE YOUR GIFTS AND I WISH YOU MUCH JOY AND PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS.
