Our great Halfback Tom K. was compelled by his nerves. He was fast and strong and one game our offense ran 46 plays on offense and Tom K. carried the ball 42 times for 223 yards of gains. We won and I told him, “Tom, now is a good time to throw-up and pass-out. He was a very bright and gentle young man. He played basketball somewhat mediocre and his gentle nature meant that I had to protect him from rivals “cheap-shotting” him. I was our team’s enforcer. I graduated High School in 1978 from Branson High School in Branson, Missouri. I attended Drury University (then Drury College ) from fall 1978 to May 1982. I was granted a full-ride academic scholarship. I graduated Magna cum Laude with a Major in English and a minor in Economics. I attended Law School at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from August 1989 to May 1992. I was on the Dean’s List for 5 of the 6 semesters. I did not automatically qualify for Law Review as my first semester was somewhat weak in comparison to the outstanding students who automatically qualified. I knew several fine geniuses in law school. Our best student in my class was constantly reminded by me, “You are the genius, Nancy, what the hell do I know about the Rule of Perpetuities ?!”
And if I had my druthers I would PASS on that !
