Tommy Mottola is widely well-known for signing, developing and nurturing the careers of Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, R&B group Destiny’s Child, Jessica Simpson, Anastacia, Shakira, the Dixie Chicks, among other. Mottola’s artist have produced over 100 Grammy Awards in total.
Mottola presented a special award for his wife Thalia onstage during the 20th annual Latin GRAMMY Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 14, 2019.
Mottola has worked with countless artists including Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Hall & Oates, and Beyoncé in her Destiny’s Child days. In Tommy Mottola’s nearly 15 years with Sony, he tripled the company’s revenue to nearly $7 billion, sold an estimated eight billion CDs, and expanded its operation to more than 60 countries.
