Hunting and fishing regulations now as easy as booking your next vacation.

We’re really excited to be launching Season Search for iOS and a whole new website today. We’ve revamped our entire experience online, and it’s allowed us to make an easy-to-use app. Our goal is to make hunting and fishing regulations easier to find and understand, so you can spend more time outside.

The underlying basis for the redesign and app is to quickly know whether your favorite species in your favorite places are open or closed. We drew lots of inspiration from travel sites like Kayak, AirBnB, and All Trails. We wanted finding regulations to be as easy as booking your next vacation.

Simply enter your activity, desired species, location, and a date, and all the related information like bag limits, size limits, method details, and those hard to find special exceptions are laid out in an easy to understand format. If you don’t see the location then there are no specific regulatory exceptions for that specific place, and the regulations for the region or county apply to that place.

The app and the website are free to use. We work around the clock to make sure that state fish and game information is up to date. We’ve updated regulations for Oregon, Arizona, and more are on the way. Remember to always check with your state’s fish and game website (we link to them on all regulations).

Regulations Currently Available

  • Oregon: Fresh Water Fishing
  • Arizona: Game Bird

Give the app try and let us know what you think. You can get it on the Apple App Store today (click the badge below). If you’ve got ideas, questions, or want to see regulations for a specific state please let us know on our contact page.

Big thanks to the team: Damon, Brandon, Dom, and Mary!
