We’re changing some things

As you’ve probably noticed if you read Tone Madison, we’ve recently been publishing a lot of stuff here on Medium, and the site we’ve been using is not really… there. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Our intrepid technical director, Mark Riechers, has been putting in extra hours to try and root out the problem. We are working on launching a new Tone Madison site that should be live by late May or early June.

In the meantime, you might notice our publication schedule slow down a little. We’ll still be posting occasionally to Medium and sending out our weekly email newsletter. Setting up the new site and moving over all of our stories from the past couple of years will be time-consuming, and we’re only a small team with modest resources. Our editors and freelancers will still keep the story ideas simmering so that we can ramp right back up again with the thoughtful and fiercely independent local journalism we’ve worked to create since launching in 2014. We intend to overcome this setback and thrive.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you on what you liked and didn’t like about our previous website, and how you think we can do better in the future. We’ll be listening to your feedback as we make our decisions about the new site.
