As someone who recently did 4 interviews with privacy experts/professors, they did not exclaim any legality issues with storing information on specific platforms as long as the use is disclosed to users, and they can update or remove them. This includes both PIPEDA (not PEPIDA as you write), and BC’s own PIPA and FIPPA.

I am not attacking or arguing with you, but I hear this “illegal to …” stuff and I want to see people provide a source, rather than hearsay, as people will often quote this kind of stuff if they have not done in depth reading into the topic.
