What is Prayer?

Thanks for sharing, currently on this journey as well, what I’ve been getting is that Prayer is a certain posture of the heart and will towards God.

I came across this quote by Noah BenShea “I don’t pray because it makes sense to pray. I pray because my life doesn’t make sense without prayer”

and then by Evelyn Underhill “The determined fixing of our will upon God, and pressing toward him steadily and without deflection; this is the very center and the art of prayer.”

My conclusion was, Prayer is how we live with our eyes fixed on God; what we say and do. One important thing has been taking a look at how Jesus prayed, all the moments he went off by himself to commune with God. And it’s so true, fears have always fled when I’ve been able to pray.
