Rape Culture: Four Things Every Woman Needs To Know
Caitlin Johnstone

The facts are the facts. And they cannot be changed. So, we have to assume them, live with them. And see if we can go beyond those facts.

The main problem in life is relationship. Because everyone has their needs, be they cultural, religious, political, economic, sexual, vanity, etc. So, those needs of each, have to live with those of others.

And so, we realize that all problems have the same root and purpose: desire and satisfaction. Therefore, until we understand the desire, its satisfaction, its persecution, we cannot see the facts as they are.

Because, if we do not understand the facts, that means that we are confused, disordered, living in illusion and ignorance.

So, that conflict that exists between what one wants and the other that does not want, has to be resolved. Facing the facts, without running away from them, without repressing them. Inventing a reality that I like, agrees and satisfies. Life is the way it is. And not how I would like it to be.
