Not every point of focus is a lie of omission. If I tell you there’s pasta on the menu, and that it looks delicious to me, that isn’t a lie of omission about the fact that pizza or salad might be on the menu too. Every time you speak you necessarily choose to focus on particular things — and as writers this is particularly essential, otherwise every article would be 100,000 words.

The whole point of this piece is to quickly summarize in a few paragraphs thousands and thousands of leaked emails.

That said, I’ve revised that item in the list. Others might view it the way you do, and I would rather err on the side of completeness.
