I am humbled by the fact that people like yourself are impacted by my ‘letter.’ I can only pray that the words I wrote will help someone else to think long and hard about the people and events that shaped their own parents, and to reflect on how they themselves have been shaped in a likewise manner. Perhaps that process can help us to understand our parents and help us help our own children understand us.
