It may seem like very nearly no one uses a landline these days, but now, Google wants to change that. Google is now adding landline service with a bundle of benefits like 1Gbps ultra-fast broadband. On Tuesday, Google Company had announced a new Fiber Phone service, which will be made available in a few US markets and after that it will expand to other cities where Google provides high-speed internet. The service will work as a cloud-based phone number that can be accessed from any tablet, computer, or phone.
Google is trying to offer cloud-based service, that will permit you tokeep your number in the “cloud” and receive and also place calls from various devices such as a tablet or mobile phone. The Phone service also added a few high-tech features to the landline lik transcribing voice mails and delivering them as written messages. The Fiber’s manager, John Shriver-Blake had posted a blog and said,” Although mobile phones have pushed us in the direction of future, home phone service is still very necessary to many families.” he also added, ”Landline phones can be friendly, trustworthy and offer high-quality service, but the technology hasn’t constantly kept up.”
The US users will get this service at the price of $10 a month for the service, and then the users will get unlimited local and national calls, caller ID, call waiting, and voicemail transcription.Google’s new strategy seems to entice new users via Fiber Phone service, who subscribe to a contending broadband and TV service, but who don’t want to quit their home landline service. And it may keep recent users from leaping to rivals such as Comcast and AT&T that are demonstrating the services in some Google Fiber cities.
