Peter, You mentioned working on the doors frames next, I was wondering if there were any thoughts on venting in the doors /windows or perhaps in the cabin roof ? I thought about landing on the water with a parachute system or ditching and was reflecting on the gull wing doors being problematic in that scenario when Opened. however if there was a venting system /window or perhaps a sunroof that is able to be opened, I think the cabin would serve as a (first class) life raft Since it is sealed… even in the cirrus parachute testing video, it shows the passengers evacuating into the water and the plane sinking, not a good scenario… A hatch / sunroof that is removable could also possibly serve as a convenient exit route and offer greater overhead cabin visibility; With an added bonus of an easier Aircraft recovery/salvage in a worst-case scenario…With a design like that it would give me more confidence to test the range by venturing over The water and possibly traveling to Europe or Hawaii in a single-Engine aircraft.
