Hello everyone!,

What a fantastic kickoff to the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) development period! 🎉 This first week has been an exhilarating mix of diving deep into our project and engaging in lively discussions with my mentors and the design team.

Design Discussions 🎉
In parallel with the technical discussions, I refined the key points emphasized by the design team in our previous design call. The focus remains on Designing the user interface to be both functional and delightful. Key points from our design talks were:

  • User-Friendly Interface:We emphasized the need for a clean, simple interface that lets system administrators navigate and configure the Messages module with ease.
  • Visual Consistency:Consistency is crucial! From button styles to panel layouts, we want a cohesive design that looks and feels great.

First Pull Request 🎉
One of the week’s biggest milestones was submitting the first pull request to set up the development modules. This PR laid the groundwork for the development environment, ensuring that we have all the necessary tools and configurations in place to start building and later testing the Messages and SMS module efficiently.

Highlights of the PR include:

  • Setting up the initial project structure.
  • Configuring necessary dependencies and development tools.
  • Establishing a foundation for future module development and integration

Stay tuned for more updates as we dive deeper into the coding phase.
Cheers! ☀️🚀
