GSoC 2024 |Week 03 Implementing

Hey Everyone 👋

Week three of Google Summer of Code (GSoC) has been both productive and enlightening. This week, I began building the Messages page for configuring message settings, learned about the extension system, and had a valuable meeting with my mentors for guidance and reviews.

Implementing the Messages Page
I started working on the Messages page, which allows users to configure their notification settings.

Learning About the Extension System

In addition to implementing the Messages page, I also learned about the extension system. This system allows the application to be extended with new features and functionalities without altering the core codebase. Understanding this system is crucial for developing modular and scalable components.

Meeting with Mentors
This week’s mentor meeting focused on integrating the Connect for Life backend with the new UI and provided crucial code reviews.

Moving Forward
Next steps include completing the Messages page, integrating the backend services, and incorporating the feedback from code reviews to enhance project quality.
