I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments — it was certainly a dramatic moment on the floor of the Senate the other night, and the perfect opportunity for John McCain to reassert his maverick status. I am particularly moved by the idea that Obama’s opponent in his first run for the presidency ended up saving his signature piece of legislation. What a contrast to the spiteful nature of the despicable DJT. Just don’t forget the courage of Senators Collins and Murkowski, without whom McCain could not have had his moment to shine.
