Say you have a BMW i8 that retails for $140,700 and want to stand out from the crowd. In fact, you really, truly want to stand apart from all those other luxury hybrid plug-ins at your local charging station.

Well, if you are a 20-year-old singer named Austin Mahone, you take it to MetroWrapz in Hollywood, Fla., for a one-of-a-kind new look. Or, we should say, a rather old and rusted look for your state-of-the-art, modern marvel.

What you are looking here is a fully reversible oxidized wrap made specifically for Mahone’s now bonkers Bimmer.

MetroWraps applied two film wraps to the i8 and the whole project was completed in a couple of days. There’s a video below showing how it was first wrapped, then brushed with a chemical layer, and later coated with more chemicals to achieve the rusted-out look.

If you’d like to do something similar to your ride, the crew at MetroWraps can make your vision come true for about $6,000.

Or, if you have the time, you can sand the paint off of your car and leave it next to the ocean for a couple of days to oxidize.
