Dear Trump Supporter who says they love me,
Amanda Deibert

In all honesty, I’ve been struggling with being okay with my friends who voted for Trump. I honestly love them. However, they’re just like this. They say they voted because of smaller government or whatever reason, but the fact that they voted for Trump hurts me. (Now, I’m a straight, white, male, Christian but that doesn’t mean that I’m not bothered by how Trump is. It doesn’t mean that I don’t want Pence to fall off of the face of the Earth.) I understand not voting for Clinton for whatever reason. I understand not voting third-party for whatever reason. But to take your time to mark your vote for a monster like Trump just puts me off. I love these people. They’re my friends but I’m at a moral dilemma. Am I willing to push good friends out of my life because they voted for that Oompa Loompa or do I keep them in my life because they’ve been great friends to me? It’s tearing me apart.
