Half way
Well, I can’t believe it has already been two and a half months. And then I look around my room and it starts to make sense. The brown spots on the wall that were there when I moved in? I thought they would be covered up with a poster by now, but they are just as ugly as ever. Or maybe I could use those coins over there on my desk to buy a coffee? Nope, they are from 5 different countries — and so are the old train tickets.
In late September, Stockholm took on an entire new vibe. I was wearing shorts one week, then I took off for Oktoberfest in Munich. When I returned it was gray and rainy: a classic Seattle winter…but with harder rain. And its been like that on and off for the past month.
One of my goals for studying abroad was to visit 9 different countries. Dont ask me why 9, but that was the number for some reason. So far, I have been to Denmark, Norway, Germany, and Switzerland (yep, 4 different currencies). Counting Sweden i’m at 5, and I wish I had the time to write about each one of them, but a week from now I will be at 9!
Who knows — at this rate, I might even reach the ‘teens by the end of my time here.
I just finished my last class of period 1 (the semesters are split into 2 periods). I have a final at the end of October, but 2 weeks off before that. And I definitely don’t need 2 weeks to study. So I am taking off for Eastern Europe…in 6 hours.
Hej då!
