Mellow Mushroom for the Virginia Institute of Autism

Hello Totem Supporters!

First, thank you for participating in our last challenge!

This week we have another great cause and a local company willing to help their community! Mellow Mushroom has been ingrained in the Charlottesville community for a long time. With a local Beer Club and Trivia night, Mellow Mushroom is invested in creating social opportunities for their local community. This week Mellow Mushroom is sponsoring the Virginia Institute of Autism, a local service that helps to alleviate some of the problems caused by autism with an innovative education based-curriculum. The organizations goals are to assist with the needs of their autistic patients “across their lifespan” by providing the James C. Hormel School, outpatient behavioral services, and the VIA Academy. The Hormel School is year-long program for 2–22 year olds with autism, that provides each students with personalized attention from an expert staff and a behavioral analyst. The outpatient services are designed to address the core symptoms of autism using evidence based practices. Finally, the VIA academy supports adults with autism by providing the College of Life Skills, College of Business, and College of Health and Well-Being.

With such a worthy cause as this, we know that all of our supporters will be putting on their game face! This week’s winners will receive up to 15 small pizzas for the winning team, 5 for the second-place team, and 5 for the third-place team! Don’t wait — download today! (http://apple.co/1PtCOVB)

Good luck everyone! Let the games begin!
