KT coach Lee Kang-cheol met with reporters after the game and said, “They said he was diagnosed with a torn muscle,” and added, “It will be difficult for him to participate in the postseason this year.”

According to a KT official, the medical staff diagnosed that it would take about 3 weeks to recover. Even if you regain your physical condition, you must go through training to find your hitting feel and participation in practice games in order to play in a real game. The Korean Series (KS) will be held from the 7th to the 15th of next month, so it will be difficult for Kang Baek-ho to participate.

Kang Baek-ho, who was active as KT’s main hitter until 2021, has been experiencing bad times since last season. Last year, he was limited to playing in 62 games due to two major injuries, and this year, he suffered from panic disorder and achieved poor results with a batting average of 0.265, 8 home runs, and 39 RBIs in 71 regular season games.
