Smithsonian Institute: Group of 168 Museums

For the diffusion and increase of the knowledge in 1846 was established, administrated by the United States government is a group of research centers and museums. As the United States National Museum originally organized, in 1967 as an administrative entity to exist that name ceased. About 137 million items for the electronic items termed as the nation’s attic, zoo, 9 research centers, for the nineteen museums the nucleus and the Washington D.C.
