I found her hiding under a table in the living room. I got down onto the floor and laid down beside her in hopes of comforting her.
Thank you, Tre L. Loadholt , for coaxing me to respond.
White Feather

Jernee, my Chorkie (Long- haired Chihuahua+Yorkie Mix) of nine years has been acting very weird lately. She is often my shadow, following me here and there but she’s displaying attachment behavior that is not like her at all. Yesterday, I was sitting at my desk, working on some things, and she had been at my heels all morning, I denied her my lap. She sat under the desk, near my feet, and did not move. My heart sank. I picked her up and put her in my lap and continued working.

I had to realize that I have not been in the best of moods and she is NOT used to that so she is clinging as a way of letting me know, “she’s still here”. The holidays aren’t the best in which to deal for folks and I struggle. My little one… she’s my reminder that I have to take it day by day no matter what and that is what she is teaching me.

Thank you for sharing this, White Feather. I know your soul mate is proud of you. A blessed and beautiful new year ahead for you.

And, you are certainly most welcome.
