I hate it because it was designed as a curse. It was created by evil whites to define us, cage us, even destroy us. Why is it one of society’s most powerful words? Because again, it was conceived as a curse.

( spiritual folks will recognize this ) Death, fear and shame have always surrounded this word. It is the pet cobra of vocabulary words. You know it’s a snake, and you can play with it if you want to, but soon it will spit venom in your eyes, bite and kill you. The ones responsible for this malevolent moniker are not our friends. I won’t use their piece of poison to define or name myself. Not even in jest. Will you?
