In a way, it IS the responsibility of the victim to call out these jackals for their callousness. If not for you- then possibly for the next person down the line. It doesn’t have to be an in-your-face confrontation, but I’d sure as h*ll have told that twat that he’s a hurtful jackass. I’d feel a lot better & he’d be crystal-clear that his behaviour is unacceptable.
