Nest-Wood Bungalow

It is a nice bungalow in Kalawana with an infinity pool. Three sides of the hotel is open to the Sunlight with glass-walls hence the view is breathtaking. It is located in middle of a tea estate. There were few eagles circling up in the sky which we though was a rare incident. But got to know that the environment around the bungalow is abondant with many academic birds.

The path to the hotel is bit difficult to drive from a normal vehicle like a car but If your vehicle have 4WD you can easily reach this lovely destination. It’s better to contact the hotel to inform your vehicle details. The staff will be more than happy to help you to reach the hotel so they will arrange a separate vehicle to carry you up.

Food If you are a tourist you can have meals from the bungalow.Sri Lankans can bring the food items from food city or somewhere close by and can hand over them to chef. He will cook a delicious meal to your taste. For us he made a chilled BBQ and we really enjoyed the dinner. Continental breakfast will be served in the morning. There were only two staff members including the chef but the facilities were up to the standard.

Rooms Can accommodate 8–10 pax in the bungalow. There are two rooms and there is an extra mattress near to the window where a lucky person could sleep with a beautiful scenery where you will get a feeling that you are sleeping with stars. if you are scared to sleep among stars alone you can share the mattress with two other people. Washroom is neat and tidy. Has a hot water shower with other bath wares.

There is a natural pool near the bungalow but we couldn’t try it. The infinitive pool is filled with continuously flowing natural spring water. Pool was cleaned and we enjoyed the calmness. If you are a Dialog and mobitel customer you should not worry about the signal coverage. Nestwood is a place to enjoy a relaxing stay. Ideal for a family or a bunch of people than for a couple.
