Why I owned a Macbook Pro for a day — and what it says to me about the future of Apple
John Risby

I would love no to rely on Mac. But in reality there is not enough good competition in the OS space to give me a feasible option.

I bought a Surface Pro 4 and absolutely love it for everything when it works which it rarely does well. It’s so frustrating to be trapped by Apple and to have Microsoft produce awesome hardware concepts that are just terrible to use.

I am just waiting for the day that Ubuntu or another Linux distro caters to even 80% of my non-negotiable requirements. I would even happily make a shift back to Windows if there was a machine that didn’t constantly infuriate me.

I resent Apple for how they abuse their position and will be the first to go when there’s a reasonable alternative.

Rant over :)
