[ Nepal ] Dal Bhat pon favor!

尼泊爾人通常吃Dal Bhat開始新的一天,和結束一天,Dal Bhat指的是「豆子」和「飯」,通常會有主餐、蔬菜咖哩、豆子湯,偶爾還會出現醬菜、優格、沙拉和辣醬。
除了主餐之外的菜都可以一直加一直加到爽,登山的時候嚮導和背伕的餐永遠都是Dal Bhat…通常主餐會是雞肉,我只有一次在登山時,在河邊的餐廳吃到魚的主餐,吃的就是剛剛在吃我腳皮的小魚阿阿阿阿阿,雞肉通常就是在四周跑的雞,你在吃的時候他就在你旁邊跑呀跑 (…叫人難以下嚥阿….)
豆子湯是主角之一,裡面通常有各種不同的豆子混在一起,就像台灣的挫冰一樣把它想成是鹹的就對了,蔬菜咖哩真的是人間美味,每一家餐廳的香料(Masala)味道都不一樣,大多都是自己磨製,不得不大推搭配高山馬鈴薯~超Q彈!! 在台灣不吃秋葵的我,在尼泊爾媽媽的巧手下,可以大吃!!
配餐通常會有幾片生的黃瓜和紅蘿蔔,他們叫沙拉,就像美式餐廳會付在洋蔥圈旁邊那種一樣,另外還有鹹到極致的醃菜和秘密辣醬。

Most of Nepali people have Dal Bhat in a day. “Dal” means some kinds of beans and “Bhat”means rice. If you order Dal Bhat in the restaurant, you could usually get main meal,takari,dal soup,pickle,salad,yogurt and spicy sauce in a set.
In addition to the main meal,you can add more foods as you need. The main meal is usually chicken. I have only tried fish when I went trekking in Poon Hill. That restaurant was near the river and the fish we ate was just from there. Those fishes had been eating my feet .…..
Dal soup is one of the important dishes in Dal Bhat. It usually mixes all kinds of beans together and seems like Taiwan traditional ice dessert. Takari is my favorite part in the set and with tasty masala. Masala is handmade and tastes different in every restaurants.I recommend to try mountain potato when you are trekking. It was really great!! I never eat lady finger in Taiwan but I can eat if it made like takari.
