Charyn Canyon National Park
Charyn Canyon National Park is the national park of Kazakhstan located on the banks of the Charyn River in Charyn Canyon, which is located in the southeastern region of Kazakhstan. Its red sedimentary rock is considered to be similar to the Grand Canyon in the United States.
This park was established on 23 February 2004. It is the second largest canyon in the world after the Grand Canyon in Colorado, USA.
It is home to many rare and endangered species.
Charin Canyon has Fox Tortoises and Steppe Ribbon Snakes. Also, the dense forests along the river are home to wild boar, deer, hares, and wolves.
