It’s Martian Living at This Unusual Southern California Home

This domed desert house in Joshua Tree, California, looks like it’s straight from Mars with its amorphous design and arid surroundings. Located in the Mojave Desert, the one-off, adobe home has a pioneering earth-made design with an otherworldly look. It was designed by Iranian-born American architect Nader Khalili, known for his innovative “Superadobe” construction system, which he developed in response to a NASA call for lunar and space habitation designs.
