Kanva Reservoir is an artificial lake and tourist attraction 69 kilometres from Bangalore, India and 10 kilometres from Ramanagara and 13km from Channapatna.
Being surrounded by forests all around and undisturbed environs, it encourages the birds to thrive in this location. Post monsoon is the best time to hit the road and come to this weekend destination as it is just 69 km from Bangalore. The Fisheries Training and Research Center on the other side of the Reservoir was started with the intention of providing sustenance to the locals and to train them in fish farming.
