My Travel Journal — Entry 1

After being granted the amazing experience to come on this one in a lifetime adventure through Blyth, I have quickly realized how different the Mexican way of life is. Everything seems to be very cheap, convenient and the locals are very friendly and helpful. After only being here a day, I am overwhelmed with everything I want to see and experience. I am extremely excited to see visit the ancient ruins of Chichén Itzá where i will be able to see a very popular but historic part of Mexico.

There’s also a 20ft cenote that you can jump into, that will be an entire new experience in itself. I am also in amaze that students are given the opportunity to swim with sea-creatures that allow us into their habitat and interact with as well. That’s definitely something that I will never forget and i haven’t even gone yet. A simpler but still significant but still significant part of the trip that I would absolutely love to experience interacting with locals and pick up some Spanish which are all things I want to do as well. To get some more great ideas of things to do, I would talk to people who work here and see what tourist attractions they recommend. I think it would mean a lot to these people if I attempt to speak Spanish after taking some lessons through the hotel. I’m so excited for all the attractions and experiences that are to come in the next three weeks.
