1. Dam Square — Dam Square is the center and heart of Amsterdam — famous for its interesting history. He witnessed historical dramas such as the occupation of Napoleon’s army in 1808. The history of Dam Square is documented in the Amsterdam History Museum.

The Royal Palace (Koninklijk Paleis) dominates the square. First there is the City Hall and it’s beautiful classic façade and statues meant to celebrate Amsterdam. There you will also find a traditional Dutch pub with authentic Dutch music. In the center of the square is a small but pleasant park where you can relax or pay your respects to Rembrandt’s statue.
