So, there are a huge number of issues with everything you are saying here. First: Atheists are upset about public land and public money being used to support a particular religion. I want you to think about your reaction should the Church of Satan put up a display in a public square near your home. They do this from time to time because technically the same laws apply to them as to Christianity. They are a recognized religion. So, if you think atheists are whiners, please remember context. You are currently the one with the majority behind you. Should that change you will be very, very unhappy with what’s happening around you.

Second: The founding fathers of America were, for the most part, not Christian. Most of them were in fact Deists. Deists were a common thing among the intelligentsia at the time and were unlikely to approve of the modern religious right. In fact, most of them were more likely to end up on the other side of the coin. They were wealthy, highly educated, politically leftist (compared to the norm at the time) and products of their time. They would be more likely to be talking about what pronouns to use than about making sure the government didn’t take people’s guns if they were alive today.

Third: Your side is going to be remembered as being on the wrong side of history in a hundred years. People will see the modern American religious right as a large part of what lead the descent into barbarism and collapse for America. The history books will not look kindly at you. Of course, they won’t likely be written in English…
