There is no shortcut where you can master this in a few months or even a year in by reading books, consuming articles, or asking other people for advice (although doing those things certainly helps the lessons you’re experiencing sink in more quickly.)

I tried a few books, attended work training sessions and spoke to fellow managers (in the business, industry and from my social network), it does help to learn from others but he best lessons come from uniquely yours situations.
Each Manager can develop his own equity with subordinates, peers and higher ups. A genuine connection, symbiotic relationships and a sincere feedback system go a long way in assisting one learn faster.
