The point that Paul is making is not to come to terms with the fact that you will be a lonely single person, he is telling the happy single person not to feel pressured to get married — singleness is a gift! Enjoy it!

This is an excellent argument to also make for Christians struggling with being transgender, bisexual, or gay. Why feel pressured to be gendernormative or straight, when being who you are is a gift?
