I’m Scared Of Getting Old

I’m scared
of getting old,
not of dying
but realizing
wasted time
abandoned dreams
things untried.
My mind,
divided
distracted
screens scream
voices vanish
seeds sown
regrets groan.
Am I living?
Life-giving?
Battle rages
inside of me,
likes like morphine.
Jesus deliver me.
Slow my mind
clear my vision.
Make today
sweet when gray.
I’m scared
of getting old.
