May was an exciting month. Work-wise it took me to Toronto where we produced a cool conference called Collision. It was majority of my focus this month, but along the way I laughed, I cried, I got stronger and I also got inspired by conversations and culture I got exposure to. Here are the best bits from May 2019.
I ❤ May 2019
1. Travel: City of Toronto
It was my 5th trip to Toronto in the past two years and it was the one that we were excited and nervous about. We came across many interesting things, but mostly it was Coll ision Conference that we were there for.
2. Ennio Morricone Final Concerts
By the grace of one of my dear friends, my partner and I received tickets to Ennio Morricone Final Concerts here in Lisbon, at Altice Arena. Our seats were just wonderful and the access to beauty was a smell away. So many beautiful moments were going through my mind during the concert and the moment my favourite song of his was performed, I melted through small tears into beauty that I felt at that lucky moment. I can’t thank you enough, Paul!
3. Alexander McQueen documentary
On my way to Toronto, I had 8 hours to spare and Alexander McQueen was there to inject a through or two with new perspectives. McQueen’s fashion designs and his journey has been something that caught my eye a long time ago. I’ve always seen him not only as an extremely talented and creative artist, but also as someone who had a bigger message to share with the world. His playfulness and explorations brought some darkness and pain forward from his creations, but what always stood out in front of our eyes is that he was able to stop time and to wow us with beauty. That’s perfection. That’s genius. For that I’m grateful.
4. Music — New Collaboration
Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber collaboration. I really love their video and the tune. The video is playful and simply good tune for the summer vibes. I like the fact that they are not taking themselves too seriously here. Good vibes.
5. Iracus Documentary
7. Game of Thrones Final
The end of Game of Thrones is here
8. Lisbon Fitness
Here are some goodies that I tried in Lisbon this month:
- Authentic Pilates
- Hot Yoga
9. Lisbon Discoveries
Lisbon is my home now and I’m learning about its beauty every single day and week. This month I went to quite a few local discoveries including:
- Sofar Sounds
- Bunch of icecream places
- Family lunch in the garden.
- Lisbon Zoo
I’m impressed with creativity and energy that the city has and for this reason I’m extremely grateful. One moment of discovery that was memorable, was meeting the co-founder of The Drink and Draw event — Tania Valle.
- Movie — Oceans 8
- Movie- Crazy Rich Asians
