what a jerk!

she said

then both walked slowly permanently silent while the wind hurled and horns were honking

he thought about saying something else but whichever thing he’d said would only worsen the thread

-you see, this is why we should’t be together, this always ends up happening in the same way

  • i’m sorry this keeps happening but we are essaying our best

-are we really?

then both just remained quiet until she picked her things and a goodbye was made

it is how millions of stories, wishes and moments finally saw each other, in a restless night singed by crickets and lost steps

one day the remembrance of your countenance that night will make my tears turn cold and my spirit dry

it is until now that I remain empty at night remembering the caresses and glimpses into your eyes

those walks at midnight faintly smiling as if we were already asleep yet the grass the stars the building walls around us the rural area shadowed by your saunter; come back revive those nights, bring gleam into my life

or perhaps the deep lone sink through my head is what life commands

wow! wobbling makes a man joyful
