The electoral college did their job, and Trump won by knowing the current rules of the system and campaigning to win. Clinton did not visit many swing states in person, and failed to gain actual support from real people. Most of her support was gained through media manipulation.
Also the majority of her popular votes came from California. One of the reasons the electoral college exists is to prevent the larger states from being able to dictate elections for the entire country.
As for Russia, the publicly available evidence is inconclusive. Even at this point in time it is merely a theory that has not been proven technically. Even the NSA only has moderate confidence in the intel reports released so far. Something is amiss with this whole Russian narrative and it needs to be approached with skepticism until more evidence is presented.
