Susan, not sure why this is so confusing for you.
Some members of Antifa are anarchists, some of them are communists and they’re marching together under the same flag. There may even be factions now that are merely Democrats. None of that changes the fact that Antifa was founded as a communist organization, and was then maintained mostly by anarchists in recent history, but has seen a recent surge of communist popularity again particularly on college campuses.
I’m not smearing anyone when I state reality. These people literally march under communist flags as well as Antifa flags. They’re proud to be communists. Calling them communists is not a smear tactic. The same goes for anarchists, they commonly do not mind when you identify them as anarchists.
Even I have anarchist leanings, if someone identifies me as an anarchist I do not consider it a smear tactic. The only difference between Antifa and I, is I don’t use violence, and instead use knowledge, my writing, and technology to subvert the system.
Many anarchists, particularly the violent ones, merely want to see the entire system burn and don’t really care how they achieve this objective. Many anarchists practice non-violence, and typically oppose communist leaning ideologies. This is probably the first time in modern history where anarchists and communists have combined interests and marched under the same banner. It’s remarkable really, but its still happening.
Meanwhile, the objective of Antifa has never been directly focused on opposing white supremacy, they are not solely an anti-white supremacy group, nor is that their only purpose. They are an authoritative anti-fascist group, which means they oppose all fascism as they see it. This includes anyone who supports the political and corporate establishment, including Democrats who refuse to join them. They see Democrats and Republicans to the right of their political interests since they’re all the way on the communist left.
One of Antifa’s largest targets is not white supremacy, but free speech events. They absolutely hate when anyone they consider to be a fascist is given a platform for free speech, particularly at universities. The vast majority of Antifa protests are protesting someone else’s free speech.
As for BLM, yes some Antifa members are formerly the more extreme members from BLM. BLM while well intentioned, also has a history of violence against people they disagree with. Many of those people have since joined Antifa as they’re both funded by the same NGOs. Antifa it is about shutting down anyone they determine to be a fascist, and is not necessarily motivated solely ending racism and white supremacy but also pushing their own political ideology. White supremacists are just one of many of the the groups they oppose.
Lastly, communism is easily equally as worse for humanity as Nazism, and is responsible for nearly 10:1 deaths compared to Nazism. Know history before you start making claims about how good communism is.
Lastly, I don’t hate anyone, I hate violence. Calling out Antifa for their violence and communist beliefs is merely stating the obvious.
I don’t really appreciate you trying to offhandedly accuse me of being racist because I oppose violence. That’s completely illogical, and irrational much like the rest of your argument.
Violence, doxxing, harassing, silencing, and using violence against other people for their political beliefs isn’t okay. There is no sudden surge of Nazism in the world, it is a tiny isolated group that was documented recently and they have very little political power or resources. I obviously oppose them, but then again I also oppose a bunch of violent communists running around the country censoring free speech, assaulting journalists, police, and anyone they disagree with including other people on the left.
In fact, just writing this and publishing this online is putting me at risk of physically being assaulted. Why are you supporting these people?
Perhaps you should stop believing everything you see on tv.
